Why sadness can be great

As a person who strives to be positive, I once had the bad habit of feeling like I was somehow failing if I was in a state of sadness.

What I have come to understand, is that all sadness, all pain, is present to help us become more.

If we choose to avoid feeling like a victim, we can instead take our sadness and pain as a signal that it is time for self-reflection.

Maybe it’s simply time to appreciate the beauty of life, maybe it’s time for a change.

Whatever it is, do not avoid and resist your sadness. ┬áRather, embrace it, be gentle with yourself, and allow it to help you become more, be more and the ultimate – serve more.
